A man accused of having a cannabis factory with a potential value of more than £11,000 has been brought to justice after three years.
Brandon Vaughan was not present when police carried out a raid on his Bispham flat in June 2012 and found a sophisticated set-up with 34 cannabis plants growing.
Vaughan, 21, who got involved with the drugs den to pay off a gambling debt, was arrested on April 3 this year.
Vaughan, of Ormand Avenue, North Shore, pleaded guilty to producing cannabis.
He was sentenced to do 200 hours unpaid work for the community, put on 12 months supervision and ordered to pay £85 costs by Blackpool magistrates who ordered the destruction of the drugs and equipment.
Michael Woosnam, defending, said his client had begun to drink and gamble heavily following the death of his father.
