Police found heroin and cocaine when they raided a man’s home in Blackpool.

George Finlay, 34, of Cookson Street, pleaded guilty at Blackpool Magistrates Court to possessing the drugs.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said that on December 3 police executed a search warrant at Finlay’s home.

Officers found wraps of cocaine and heroin.

Finlay, told police the drugs were for his own use.

Suzanne Mugford, defending, told the court: “He has struggled with drug problems over the years.

“This time it was a small blip in his misuse of drugs.”

Finlay was bailed for pre-sentence reports and will be sentenced at a later date by District Judge Huw Edwards sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
