Two men have been bailed after a man was stabbed outside a resort social club.

The 29-year-old was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital after being stabbed once in the stomach at the junction of Coronation Street and Read’s Avenue, outside the Hotel and Apartments Social Club, in Blackpool town centre.

Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.

Two men, aged 25 and 28, were arrested in connection with the incident, which happened at around 11.45 pm on Friday.

They are currently on bail pending further enquiries.

Det Con Marc Armstrong, from Blackpool CID, said: “We’re trying to establish the full facts of what happened.

“If anybody witnessed anything or has information about what happened we would appreciate them coming forward.”
