Police appeal after man reportedly 'caught behaving inappropriately' on Blackpool Promenade

Officers investigating an offence of "outraging public decency" on Blackpool Promenade are trying to identify a man who could help with their enquiries.

A man was reportedly caught "behaving inappropriately" on the Promenade, opposite the Imperial Hotel, at around 2.30pm on January 9.

Police have now released an image of a man they would like to talk to as he may be able to help with their enquiries.

PC Katie Phillips, of Blackpool Police, said: "We know someone will recognise the man pictured.

"If you know who he is, please come forward and speak to police."

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police by calling 101 or emailing [email protected], quoting log number 0826 of January 9.

Outraging public decency involves actions or displays in public places that outrage generally accepted standards of decency, in the presence of at least two people.
