Police are appealing for information after a woman had her handbag snatched in Blackpool.
The incident happened around noon on Tuesday when a 57-year-old woman was walking along Warley Road towards Devonshire Road.
As she walked past Mexford Road, she realised a man was behind her.
As she waited for him to pass she felt her handbag slipping from her hand. The man then ran away before getting into a black 4x4 vehicle.
The offender is described as a white man, in his thirties, of medium build and between 5ft 10in and 5ft 12in tall. He was wearing a black cap, a bright red long sleeved top or jacket and black trousers or jeans.
PC Gail Walters of Blackpool Police said: “This was a brazen theft which has left the victim extremely upset.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity around the time of the theft and may have any information that could assist with our enquiries to contact us.”
