Plea as custom road bike stolen in burglary

A FYLDE home was burgled when thieves smashed a kitchen window and entered the property.

Police are now urging anyone with information to come forward after the break-in on Derwent Drive, Freckleton, between 7am and 8pm on Wednesday.

Burglars searched the entire premises and stole a specialised road bike, a customised BMX bike, a man’s white and yellow gold necklace, a man’s gold bracelet and some cash.

Sgt Kevin Wilks, of Lancashire Police, said: “This burglary has caused a great deal of distress for the victims so I would appeal to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or who may have any other information that could assist, to contact police.

“Similarly, I would ask people to be vigilant and if you are offered any similar items for sale, please get in touch by calling us on 101.”
