A pensioner has appeared at court charged with two offences of breaching the terms of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

Roger Fox, of Church Street, Blackpool, was brought before magistrates at Blackpool where he offered no plea to the two charges.

Magistrates sent the cases to Preston Crown Court where he will appear at a date to be fixed in the future.

Fox is alleged to have breached the SOPO by having a 14-year-old boy in his flat and also being with the 14-year-old in an alleyway near his home.

The charges allege Fox was not supervised at the time of the two incidents, magistrates were told.

Fox was remanded in custody until the date of his crown court hearing is fixed.
