Two Blackpool men accused of jointly attacking another man breaking his wrist and inflicting a large gash on his head have made their first appearance at court.

Robert Jones, 32, of Park Road, and David Robinson, 30, of Beckway Avenue, are charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard before a crown court.

Suzanne Mugford, defending, said the defendants would not indicate a plea to the offence at this stage.

The defendants were bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on January 23 by Blackpool magistrates.
