Fleetwood Police have stepped up patrols during the school morning rush hour in Fleetwood.

They are now urging people to be mindful of road safety in terms of speeding, driving with no seatbelt, using a mobile while driving and parking where restrictions are in place near to schools or when dropping children off.

PCSO Mike Duff said: “On numerous occasions I have caught people breaking various traffic laws at that time of the morning.

“This needs to stop before someone is seriously injured or worse.

“Please be aware that parking on yellow zig-zags and opposite double white lines is unacceptable at any point in the day, even if you are only dropping off.
