Officers discover drugs in bum-bag

Drugs were found in a man's bum-bag when police searched his property in Blackpool.

Paul Evans, 40, of Bela Grove, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to possessing amphetamine.

He was given a 12 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs with £20 victims’ surcharge by District Judge Alan Jones sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court who ordered the destruction of the drugs.

Prosecutor, Pam Smith, said police called to Handsworth Road on June 10 at 3pm, spoke to the defendant, whose property was on the street.

The property was searched and white 
powder found in his bum-bag.

Evans told the judge he had gone to his doctor for help and had not used amphetamine since.
