A woman accused of torturing another woman at a flat in Fleetwood made her first appearance at court.

Sarah Boyle is alleged to have lured the victim to the address, burned her face with a lit cigarette and caused burns to her legs with a stun-gun.

Boyle, 28, of Eamont Place, Fleetwood, is charged with assaulting the woman causing her actual bodily harm on June 11 this year.

Adrian Hollamby, prosecuting, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Boyle entered no plea and was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 25 by Blackpool magistrates.

She must not contact the complainant as a condition of her bail.
