Multiple rape charge man sent to Crown

A man accused of multiple rape has made his first appearance at court.

Neville James, 54, of Marchwood Road, Grange Park, faces three charges of raping a woman.

He is also charged with causing a woman to engage in sexual activity.

Two of the rapes are alleged to have taken place in Blackpool, the other in Mansfield, between January 2010 and January 2012.

James was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 13 by District Judge Jeff Brailsford, sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
