Manhunt for Blackpool man after couple are attacked in Palatine Road home invasion

A manhunt is underway in Blackpool after a couple were injured during an armed raid on their Palatine Road home.

Three men burst into the home and attacked a man and a woman, aged in their 20s, during a terrifying home invasion last month.

The pair were sprayed with a fire extinguisher before being attacked with weapons between midnight and 12.30am on Thursday, February 6.

The couple suffered a number of injuries, with the man being slashed across the face with a blade.

The woman also suffered severe bruising in the assault.

Officers today launched a public manhunt to find one of the men suspected to have been involved.

Police said Daniel Johnson, 25, of Devonshire Road, Blackpool, is wanted in connection with the attack.

He is described as white, 5ft6ins tall and of a slim build.

He is said to have brown hair and a number of tattoos, including a black panther on his left forearm and a cassette with two pencils on his hand.

He has links to both Blackpool and Bispham, the force added.
