Man wanted over Blackpool attacks

Police today urged a suspect in connection with two assaults on women in Blackpool to hand himself in.

David Budgeon, 33, whose last known address was at Derby Court is wanted in connection with the offences which happened in the early hours of Tuesday February 7 and Thursday December 8 last year.

During the most recent incident, the 26-year-old victim was punched and kicked and had her head banged against a sink. The previous assault involved a 24-year-old woman being hit in the face.

PC Adam Weaver from Blackpool Police said: “If you have seen David Budgeon or know where he is, please get in contact with us as soon as possible.
“I would advise Budgeon if he sees this appeal to do the right thing and hand himself in at the nearest police station.

“We are actively looking for him and it’s only a matter of time before we find him.”

Budgeon is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of medium build with short blonde hair and blue eyes.

On his left arm, he has tattoos of a swallow along with the name ‘Budgeon’ and the word ‘Budgie’. On his right arm he has a tattoo of a skull.
