A man has been taken to hospital after he was wounded in a pub brawl in Blackpool.

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed that they responded to a 'disturbance" at the Corner House pub (Last Orders) in Sherbourne Road at 10pm last night (February 16).

It said the man had suffered a wound injury to his arm and has been taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are described as "not life threatening and not major trauma".

The service said it mobilised an ambulance and two rapid response units after receiving "a number of emergency calls" at 9.59pm.

NWAS said it was unable to comment further on the incident due to it being considered "a police matter".

Lancashire Police have been approached for comment.
