Man suffers 'injuries to face' after being knocked out in 'unprovoked attack' at Blackpool bar

A man in his 40s was punched in the face and knocked unconscious at Bar 19 on Queen Street between 1am and 2am on March 7.

He suffered injuries to his face and hand as a result of the assault.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak as part of their enquiries, and are asking anyone with information about who he may be to get in touch.

PC Dan Holmes, of Blackpool Police, said: "This was an entirely unprovoked attack on a man who was simply enjoying a night out with friends, and our investigation is ongoing to find out what occurred.

"We would now like to speak to the man in the CCTV image in connection with that investigation and we are asking anybody who recognises him to contact us as soon as possible."
