A man dragged his ex-girlfriend around the kitchen and stamped on her neck.

Badara Cham was seen leaving the victim’s home with clumps of brown hair in his hand, a court heard.

Cham, 32, of Charnley Road, Blackpool, has admitted to the assault.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the victim had ended their relationship, but on March 28 she arrived home and he came up behind her and said he had come for what he was owed.

As she opened the door, he pushed his way in and went to pick up a pair of riding boots. Cham then dragged his ex round by the hair and stamped on her neck.

When interviewed by police, Cham claimed his ex owed him money so he decided to take a pair of riding boots he had bought. He said there was a tug-of-war over the boots and she fell over. He initially denied pulling her hair or putting his foot on her neck.

He will be sentenced by Blackpool magistrates after reports have been prepared.
