Man stabbed in the face after fight

A man has been charged with stabbing a 37-year-old man in the face after a fight broke out in a home.

Police were called to Luton Road, in Anchorsholme, shortly before midnight on Friday to find the man had suffered a wound to his cheek.

He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and received a number of stitches.

John Rainey, 34, of Luton Road, was charged with Section 18 wounding with intent and was remanded to appear at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court today.
