Man stabbed during brawl in Blackpool

One man was stabbed and another found unconscious following a brawl in Blackpool town centre, say police.

Patrols were called at around 3.45am on Tuesday April 24, to reports of a fight between a group of men which police say happened on Talbot Road near to near to Home and HQ.

A 19-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his chest and was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Another man, 23, was also taken to hospital after being found unconscious.

A spokesman for the police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after an altercation between a number of men in Blackpool.

"A 19-year-old man suffered a stab wound and a 23-year-old man was found unconscious.

"The 23-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and released under investigation, pending further enquiries."
