A man accused of stabbing a male friend has made his first appearance at court.

Adam Marsden, 29, of St Heliers Road, South Shore, is charged with maliciously wounding his pal with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.

He is also accused of assaulting a 17-year-old girl during the same incident at Blackpool on November 12.

Prosecutor Pam Smith asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer Kathryn Jamieson-Sinclair did not apply for bail for her client.

Marsden was remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on November 26 by Blackpool magistrates.
