A man abducted a pregnant teenager at Blackpool after being warned by police to stay away from the girl.

Pritesh Chohan then panicked when officers tried to arrest him and was knocked over by a car as he fled.

Chohan, 21, of Grange Road, Preston, pleaded guilty to child abduction, obstructing police and possessing cannabis.

He was bailed to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on March 13 by District Judge John Maxwell sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Chohan must live at his given address, keep a 9pm to 6am curfew, report five times a week to police and not enter Blackpool as conditions of his bail.

On February 11 this year Chohan and the girl were seen walking together in Blackpool, with the defendant putting his arms round her.

A police officer put one side of the handcuffs on him but Chohan pulled away and ran.

He fled across a road, was hit by a car and fractured his shoulder.
