A man in his 30s was taken to hospital after he was hit with a machete during a robbery in Blackpool.
Four men burst into the house in Central Drive, Blackpool, at around 8pm on Friday night, Lancashire Police said.
They then made threats and demands to the two men and one woman in the house before hitting one of the men with what police believe to be a machete.
The threats and demands persisted and fearing for their own safety the occupants handed over ‘personal effects’.
No further details of what was taken have been released.
The four men then fled the scene.
The man hit with the machete was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital but has since been discharged.
Det Sgt Simon Pritchard of Blackpool CID said: “I would appeal to members of the public who saw anything suspicious in and around Central Drive at the junction with Bethesda Square at 7.45pm, or anyone who has heard anything about this robbery to come forward.”
Anyone with information should contact Lancashire Police on 101.
