Ian Longhorn was found sitting on a wheelie-bin in the front garden by police and told officers “I did it, but it’s my house.”

Longhorn, a 36-year-old carer, formally of Highbank Avenue, Marton, now living at Horncliffe Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to causing damage.

He was bailed for pre-sentence reports by Blackpool magistrates.

Longhorn must not contact his partner or enter Highbank Avenue.

Rachel Parker, prosecuting, said Longhorn was shouting at his partner “Let me in. I wish you were dead,” before kicking the front door and punching a window on December 21 about 11pm.

Gary McAnulty, defending, said Longhorn was the carer for his partner. The couple rowed about money.
