Police found a bag of drugs when they searched a man’s home.

John Kirkwood, a 49-year-old fork lift truck driver, of Palatine Road, Blackpool, admitted possessing amphetamine.
He was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs with £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates, who also ordered the destruction of the drugs.
Philippa Jones, prosecuting, said officers went to Kirkwood’s home and found the bag of amphetamine on January 15.
Jessica Partington, defending, said: “It was a small amount of amphetamine, purely for personal use. He says he is not a regular user.”
