A man who flung a kettle full of boiling water over police has been put on the wanted list.

Simon Blacklock injured two officers after they went into his home because they were concerned he would harm himself.

Blacklock, 48, of Dickson Road, Blackpool, admitted assault on police, but failed to turn up at Blackpool magistrates court to be sentenced yesterday.

Prosecutors asked the magistrates to grant a warrant without bail for Blacklock’s arrest. A court was previously told on February 26 officers received information Blacklock was going to harm himself and after he went quiet were forced to enter his home. As they entered Blacklock threw the kettle of boiling water over them. One officer suffered burns to his arm and shoulder and another burns to his thigh.

Defence lawyer, Peter Manning, said previously, his client, a registered heroin user, did not have 100 percent recollection of events on the day of the offence.
