A man stole coils of cable wire from next to the railway line.
David Bradley, 34, of Oxford Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to theft.
He was fined £75 with £85 costs and ordered to pay £20 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.
Pam Smith, prosecuting, said a man cleaning gutters saw two men acting suspiciously near a section of disused rail line in Poulton on November 29.
Police caught Bradley with three coils of cable wire. David Charnley, defending, said Bradley and a friend saw the coils and thought they had been abandoned.
