A man failed to keep his curfew because he said he had no electric for his tag monitoring box to work.
Alan Shaw, 30, of Lord Street, Blackpool, had been put on a four-week curfew for a burglary at a cafe.
The court was told the curfew monitoring company installed the equipment needed to monitor the curfew.
Officials returned to Shaw’s address on four occasions but he was not there. When contacted he said he had no electricity and was at his sister’s.
Peter Manning, defending, said Shaw’s benefits had not been paid for many weeks. He was bailed for a fortnight. Blackpool magistrates said he must live at his given address and stay inside between 9pm and 6am.
