A man is accused of filming inside the new vaccine unit at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Police were called at around 1.10pm yesterday after a man was allegedly found with a body-worn camera and a tripod-mounted camera at the Whinney Heys Road hospital, including in the oncology and outpatients departments.

Mark Evans, 54, of the Promenade, Blackpool, appeared at magistrates' court today and denied causing a disturbance at the Whinney Heys Road hospital.

He was granted bail.

He must not contact any alleged witnesses or enter the hospital or its grounds except for in a medical emergency.

The Vic has been designated as a hub for the storage and distribution of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine, the court was told.

Fridges and other equipment has already been delivered, The Gazette reported earlier this week.
