Man charged with murder of baby daughter Willow Lee in Blackpool

A man has been charged with the murder of his baby daughter in Blackpool.

Police launched an enquiry after four-month old Willow Lee was found seriously injured at a home in Onslow Road, Layton on Thursday, December 3.

She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and later transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, where she sadly died on Sunday, December 6.

A Home Office post-mortem examination has been carried out, but police say further expert analysis is needed to establish a cause of death.

Willow’s father Jordan Lee, 28, of Onslow Road, was initially charged with attempted murder, but following her death and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, has now been charged with her murder.

He will appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (December 16).
