Ryan Keith had given his sister money to hold for him in her bank account but he lost his temper when she could not immediately give it back to him.

Twenty-three-year-old Keith, unemployed, of Berwick Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to causing damage and theft of a crate of lager.

Adrian Hollamby, prosecuting, said Keith rowed with his sister and damaged her iPhone on October 9.

Lager

Two days later he stole lager from a shop.

Hugh Pond, defending, said Keith was a binge drinker on occasions.

He had been drinking all weekend before going to see his sister.

As he had no bank account he had given her £30 to put in her account so she could pay for something he wanted off the internet.

He then changed his mind but when he asked for his money back she said she had lost her bank card.

He had now stopped drinking.

He was fined £160 and ordered to pay £200 compensation with a £150 court charge by Blackpool magistrates.
