Man assaulted and robbed by man and woman in Blackpool town centre

A 40-year-old man was attacked and robbed by a man and a woman after he befriended them in Blackpool town centre.

Police are appealing for information after a 40-year-old man was assaulted and robbed in Blackpool.

The victim was walking near to Iceland when he was befriended by a man and woman who walked with him to East Topping Street in the town centre.

They then attacked him and stole money from him.

The incident happened on Topping Street around 11.30pm on February 13.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Police are appealing for information and would like to speak to a man who offered to help the victim afterwards and may have witnessed the incident."

The man is described as white, of slim build, 5ft 8in tall and aged in his late 20/early 30s.

The woman is described as white, of slim build, 5ft 6in tall and aged in her late 20/early 30s, with mousey hair in a pony tail.

The victim is white and of medium build with light coloured hair.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket and blue jeans.

The witness is described as white, of stocky build and 5ft 10in tall with black hair and an unshaven face.
