Man arrested on suspicion of murder after Fleetwood stabbing

A man in his 30s, who was not immediately identified, was knifed at an address in Laidleys Walk shortly after 8am today (June 24).
The victim was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment but died from his injuries.

Hide AdA 22-year-old man from Fleetwood has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He was being quizzed by murder detectives this afternoon.
A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "We were called around 8.05am today (Wednesday, June 24) to reports of an assault in Fleetwood.
"Emergency services attended an address in Laidleys Walk where a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found with a suspected stab wound. He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital for treatment but sadly later died.
"A 22-year-old man from Fleetwood has been arrested by police on suspicion of murder and is in custody"

Hide AdA cordon has reportedly been put in place on Macbeth Road and forensic officers are at the scene.
Officers have confirmed an investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing.
The force urged anybody with information to contact police by calling 101, quoting log number 0328 of June 24.
