Police said the electricity inside the property had been bypassed and overloaded, "leaving the premises at serious risk of fire and putting the lives of neighbouring residents at risk."

Officers confirmed one man had been arrested and enquiries were ongoing, but the force said they were unable to provide a location for the property at this time.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said: "At this time we will not be releasing any further information."
