A man has admitted stalking his ex-partner after their relationship broke down.

Joshua Brodie, 21, admitted to putting the woman in fear of violence after he breached a restraining order.

Preston Crown Court heard on August 3 Brodie, of Normoss Avenue, Blackpool, went into the woman’s home and pushed her over. On another two occasions he entered her home and was abusive and violent and on August 17 he stole an ID card. He then visited the house after telephoning her three times to tell her he had left her property outside. But when the woman went outside to get the items he approached her and tried to hug her.

Brodie pleaded guilty to stalking, breach of a restraining order, common assault and theft. He was remanded in custody and will return for sentence on December 23.
