A MAN, 32, has admitted assaulting two police officers in Blackpool.

Alex Anderton pushed a female police officer as she attended incidents at flats where he lives on St Heliers Road, South Shore.

He was arrested as a result of the attack and when officers took him into the police station custody area he bit the finger of a male police officer.

Anderton, 32, admitted both offences when he appeared before Blackpool magistrates.

He was fined £35 for each assault and ordered to pay the female officer £50 compensation and £75 compensation to the other police officer.

Martin Hillson, defending, said Anderton had been drinking cider and started to interfere when police were called to an incident in another flat.
