A man accused of bursting into a house saying: “I still love you – forget the restraining order” to a woman he had been banned from contacting has made his first appearance before a court.

Darren Richardson, aged 40, of Seabrooke Drive, Thornton, pleaded not guilty to breaching a restraining order on November 23.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, opposed bail for Richardson.

Richardson was remanded in custody towards a trial on January 14 by District Judge Huw Edwards sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
