A man who breached a court order on four occasions has been jailed.

Shane Finn, 30, of Jackson Avenue, Layton, was found guilty of failing to comply with a suspended prison sentence after a trial in his absence.

Finn was sentenced to 14 days jail by District Judge Sam Goozee sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court who said: “It seems blatant disregard of a court order.”

Neal Brookes, prosecuting for the probation service, said Finn had previously been sentenced to 22 weeks jail suspended for two years and ordered to do 80 hours unpaid work for the community for offences of assault damage and theft.

Finn had missed three appointments with his probation officer and done 46 hours of the payback work. It was his fourth breach of the suspended sentence.
