A man accused of sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl has made his first appearance at court.

Liam Davis, 26, Penrose Avenue, Marton, is charged with sexually touching the girl.

The offence is alleged to have taken place at Blackpool on April 17 last year.

Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.

Defence lawyer, Allan Cobain, said his client would not indicate any plea to the offence at that stage.

Davis was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on February 10 by Blackpool magistrates.

He must live at his given address and not have any unsupervised contact with children under 16 except for fleeting or inadvertent contact.
