A lovesick man who stalked his former partner of four years has been put on a restraining order which bans him from contacting his ex.

Stanislav Moravcik, a 47-year-old fishing net maker, of Durley Road, South Shore, pleaded guilty to harassment.

In addition to being put on a 12-month restraining order Moravcik was also sentenced to 12 months supervision and ordered to pay £85 costs with £60 costs by Blackpool magistrates.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said the defendant’s partner had ended their relationship but on October 19 she woke in the morning to find Moravcik sitting on her bed.

He had got into her home using keys he should not have had access to, the court was told.

Moravcik was given a harassment warning by police but he continued contacting his ex by texts and Facebook messages and was seen lurking near her home.

Patrick Nelligan, defending, said Moravcik now accepted the relationship was over.
