A MAN has been brought to justice almost two years after committing a revenge burglary.

John Patrick, 32, of Leitchland Road, Paisley, Scotland, pleaded guilty to burgling the home of a mother with three children in Handsworth Road, North Shore, in May 2011.

He was bailed to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on April 18 by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said a mother with three children locked her home and went to bed on May 22 2011.

The next morning the back door of her home was open and a £400 television installed in her home the previous night was missing.

Trevor Colebourne, defending, said Patrick had been at the house in Handsworth Road the night the ex installed the tv.

The ex owed a dealer £40 for ketamine, but could not pay because he had bought the TV. Patrick paid all the drug debt and then decided to steal the TV.

Patrick went to live in Scotland where he was recently apprehended in a routine stop check.
