An industrial lock up containing £47,000 of stock has been raided by thieves.
Burglars forced their way through the shutters of haulage company E.V.T.S on Aldon Road, on Poulton industrial estate in the early hours of Sunday morning.
As well as thousands of pounds of beauty products, detectives said the thieves also got away with 10,000 jars of Vaseline, more than £5,000 of Cabernet Shiraz wine, lead, washing powder, 84 cases of Budweiser, 1,500 cases of Bells cough linctus and 8,640 Ranatidine tablets.
After forcing their way into the lock up, the gang removed two HGV wagons before filling six vehicles with stolen goods.
The gang spent four hours loading the items into their vehicles, including a Berlingo van, Mercedes Sprinter van, a Box van and Transit van, which all had cloned registration plates, officers said.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious between 7.30pm on Saturday and 12.30am on Sunday to contact them.
Det Sgt Kathryn Riley, from Wyre CID, said: “This was clearly a pre-planned and well organised burglary and I would appeal to anybody with any information that could assist with our investigation to contact police on 101.
“The offenders have escaped with a large quantity of products including alcohol, medicine, electrical cable and lead. It is possible some of this property has been offered for sale so I would be keen to speak with anybody that thinks they may have been offered any of these products or details of where they could be.”
Call police on 101.
