A sales assistant smashed a takeaway window worth almost £1,000 after he argued with his girlfriend about the cost of a kebab.

Jonathan Hogg, 22, of Egerton Road, North Shore, admitted causing damage.

He was given a two year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £984 compensation by Blackpool magistrates.

Martine Connah, prosecuting, said Hogg argued with a woman in the Eatabout takeaway and as he walked out he hit out at a laminated window which broke on May 12 about 1.40am.
