An investigation has been launched after a stolen moped was set alight in Blackpool, say fire services.

One engine from Blackpool was called out to the incident on Dale Street at around 7.15pm on Monday, April 30 after a member of the public called 999.

A fire service spokesman said: "The scooter is believed to have been stolen and was set alight.

"Only the scooter was damaged in the incident and nobody was injured.

"We used a hose reel to extinguish the fire."

Crews spent around 30 minutes at the incident.
