A husband punched a woman unconscious and then grabbed his young daughter out of bed before driving off with her.

Wayne Pollard was furious because two men had been at the woman’s address when he called there.

He also smashed her television, took her phone and damaged a courtesy car she had parked outside.

Pollard, 29, of Manchester Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to assault, theft and damage.

He was bailed for pre-sentence reports and warned he may be jailed by Blackpool magistrates.

Alison Quanbrough, prosecuting, said the woman was at home with some friends when Pollard, who was drunk, arrived on April 10 about 10pm.

He called the woman offensive names and punched her in the face.

He returned later in the evening and threw a tv against the wall. He grabbed his daughter from her bed.

Carol Clarke, defending, said her client, who had no previous convictions, had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.
