Hotel raid man stole keys and Peugeot

A teenager burgled a Blackpool hotel and stole keys and a Peugeot car.

Nathan Howard, 18, of Dobson Way, St Helens, pleaded guilty to burglary, the aggravated taking of a car without consent and driving it while disqualified without insurance.

The court was told that on July 3 Howard got in through a window at The Grange Hotel, Hornby Road, and stole two sets of car keys and a car parked on the hotel forecourt.

Police later spotted him driving the stolen vehicle in St Helens where the crashed the car through a fence.

Howard was remanded in custody to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on October 1 by District Judge David Scanlon sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

He was given an interim driving ban.
