A hostel dweller was seen throwing punches at people at another hostel, a court was told.

Emma Knowles, aged 29, of Oak House, Knowle Avenue, North Shore, admitted being drunk and disorderly before a magistrates’ court.

She was given a 12 months conditional discharge by Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.

Jane Yates, prosecuting, said Knowles was seen punching out at people in the doorway of Elm House hostel, Derby Road.

The incident is said to have happened on May 4 at 10.45pm

Police had to take her to the floor and restrain her after being called.

Robert Castle, defending, said Knowles had been involved in a domestic incident.

She was very upset and had been drinking.
