Helicopter called in during car chase drama
The police helicopter was twice called into the skies above Blackpool to aid officers in pursuit of cars.
The first incident happened just before 1am in the Marton area and ended when the car being tracked drove into a dead end.
Two men were arrested.
The chopper was scrambled again just before 5am, again to the Marton area, following reports of two stolen cars involved in a pursuit.
Both cars were abandoned and their occupants were arrested - one with assistance from the helicopter crew.
