Two men accused of robbing a woman shop assistant at gunpoint in Blackpool have made their first appearance at court.
Simon Olson, 25, of The Promenade, Blackpool, and Warren Tymon, 45, of Hillside Road, Haslingdon, are charged with robbing the woman of £150 at Thoroughgoods, Springfield Road, North Shore, on Saturday.
Olson is also accused of possessing an imitation firearm – a handgun – with the intention to provoke the fear that violence would be used and of having an imitation gun.
Tymon is further accused of possessing an imitation firearm with the intention to enable Olson to produce fear in the shop assistant.
Olson did not indicate a plea to the offences.
Tymon indicated he would plead not guilty to the charges.
Neither defendant asked for bail.
The duo were remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 20 by District Judge Rod Ross sitting at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
