Four people arrested after recovery of stolen Blackpool puppies on M61

Four suspected thieves remain in custody after a stolen litter of French Bulldog puppies and an adult dog were recovered by police on the M61 last night (December 30).

Last night (December 30), eight three-week-old puppies and an adult dog were found in a vehicle on the M61 by police, following a burglary report on Kingsway, South Shore.

The car was heading out of Lancashire.

Four people have been arrested and remain in custody after the incident, and the puppies have been safely reunited with their mother.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "A burglary report in Blackpool resulted in four suspects being stopped on M61 out of Lancashire with a litter of three week old puppies and an adult dog.

"All eight puppies are safe and have been reunited with mum. The four suspects are in custody.

"The puppies were French Bulldogs reported stolen from an address in Kingsway, Blackpool."
