A MAN has pleaded not guilty to causing a fire which destroyed the social club he managed in Blackpool.
The fire at the Trades Club in Chadwick Street in October 2011 led to neighbours having to flee their homes in the dead of night while the blaze raged.
After it was extinguished, the building could not be saved and was demolished soon after.
Former manager Barry Griezans, 30, of Summerville Avenue, Staining, yesterday denied a charge of arson recklessly endangering life at a hearing at Preston Crown Court.
The case was sent for trial at the court on April 15.
